year’s Fall/Winter trends

A look at this year’s Fall/Winter trends

As the end of summer is near, we need now to update our wardrobe and get ready for the fall and winter months. Fashion designers see both fall and winter as a season where emotions, personalities and uniqueness reigned supreme.

We will have a great deal to selectbetween loud colours, bold prints, and even more statement-making silhouettes.

This year’s fall/winter fashions are varied, vast, and very much going to suit your style, whether you are a minimalist or maximalist, big fan of colours or not, want to dress formal, casual, or like you are permanently at a party. There is a place for everyone’s taste. Discover functional women’s activewear, the perfect fusion between fashion and training at sacrificenow. The door is open for your imaginations and fantasies.

For instance, animal print continues its reign of the fashion arena this fall with endless options from leopard dresses to snake-skin print shoulder bags.

Florals, which were already of significant trend during summer, will not go anywhere for fall and winter –yet fashion experts suggest to get ready for dark and moody floral tones.

In terms of shoes, get ready for knee or thigh-high boots or ankle boots that slouch around the ankle. The slouchy style, which might feel like it is stepped straight out of the 1980s, promises to be the perfect boot to pair with your pleated skirts or skinny jeans this fall/winter season.

There are garments crafted as though the apocalypse had already occurred: either extremely minimalist and utilitarian, or inspired by films like the Matrix. Nineties grunge can be spotted everywhere, and that’s a style that certainly conveys to us that we might be living in the end of times.

Some designers showed hope by not shying away from politics, with many making statements about the environment, war, and gender. The Seventies were a more hopeful time for activists, that is why many designers took that era as their design inspiration, which brought a lot of Seventies staples into the fall 2019 fashion trends.

There are other designers who used vegan and sustainable materials to craft their garments and fall 2019 accessories.

The inspiration for Michael Kors’ this year fall runway came from his own time designing at the famous Studio 54, the logo of which he used for the collection. The collection was as Seventies as it gets, as models were clad in long, belted dresses, earth-toned leather, neckerchiefs, with their hair styled to look big and fluffy.

British fashion designer Vivienne Westwood placed the deteriorating state of the planet front and centre in her collection, with the main slogans of the show being “buy less, choose well, make it last.” Activists wearing Vivienne Westwood walked the runway with microphones and gave their own statements about politics and sustainability.

The Italian brand BottegaVeneta, with its new minimalism appearance, is making a big impression with this year’s fall/Winter collection.

After creative director Daniel Lee took the lead in 2018, he set aside the classic Italian line and took on a totally minimal and modern look.

The designer has made a big impression with the collection’s advertising campaign. The campaign shot at Joshua Tree in California revealed this minimalism with a golden sports car, blue sky, and white architecture. Photographer Tyrone Lebonshot the campaign, while AdutAkech, Anna Ewers, and Fernando Cabral posed for him.
